And a sneak preview of what to expect in JANUARY…
In JANUARY, subscribers can look forward to:
🎲 DRILLS AND GAMES: We open the year with a drill that will really make a difference to how you think about uchikomi. Look out for The Cuban Uchikomi Drill - coming to your inbox on Monday.
🥋 TECHNIQUE: Te-waza! This month we focus on hand throws. There will be study material to give out to your judoka so they can learn four techniques. Plus an achievement certificate.
🈶 MORAL CODE: In January, the spotlight falls on encouraging Respect in the Dojo, with examples to help judoka grasp the concept. You can download posters, stickers, colouring pages and worksheets. I know some coaches are focussing on a different value each month and I respect that ;-)
👀 CHAT: I’ll be opening up another chat this month, and I’m hoping to get your feedback on what you need at your dojo this coming year. Get your thinking cap on and do join in! All ideas welcome.
This is the sort of content you can expect every month. Ready-made lessons, techniques to teach, certificates to give out and games and drills from experienced coaches.

“Each term, I print out certificates and teaching sheets for the techniques I plan to teach. I’ve noticed the kids feel that little bit more determined to work as they want to achieve the certificate that goes with learning each technique.”
