Let’s continue with the KK+ Technical resources, with a turnover that once you’ve secured the initial grip, is pretty much unstoppable. This week I present to you: The Crush.
This is a fairly advanced turnover, ideally for judoka who are already confident rolling. It’s a good way to build spacial awareness in groundwork.
Key teaching points are:
Join the hands under the body.
It is easier to join the hands if you reach through the legs as close to your partner’s knee as possible, rather than near their bum.
Don’t let go of this grip, as your roll and flip over.
