Let’s continue with the KK+ Technical resources, this time with a clever turnover. Once you’ve got hold of the grip, this turnover is almost impossible to stop. This turnover is one from my club, the Pinewood Judo Club, and one I used lots of times in competition. We call it the: Reach In (The Sleeve).
Work on getting the grip quickly. Reach in, and slip your hand inside uke’s jacket, and grab inside the sleeve, deep down almost at elbow level. With the other hand grip the top of the collar near the neck.
Once you have the grip, the turnover is easy. Pull uke’s arm towards you and roll them over onto their back.
