OK! So here is the last of the eight values. Today, we focus on FRIENDSHIP and below, youโll find the posters and other useful visuals to teach this value at your dojo.
Friendship
Itโs one of the greatest gifts of life. Friendship. And the dojo environment provides many perfect moments for friendships to be created, built as the judoka share similar experiences. These are friendships that can last a life-time.
Some ideas around using these visuals at your dojo:
Create an environment, with visual reminders of the judo moral code and of how judoka are expected to behave.
Print up the posters, and put them on your dojo wall.
Begin discussions by using real-life every-day examples of friendship in a dojo
Ask questions about the Friendship in the Dojo poster.
Get the students thinking about their own behaviour.
Use the worksheets as healthy homework for your judoka to take home, think about and bring back filled out.
Reward acts of friendship with a sticker!
Print a roll of Friendship stickers to give out.
