Koshi-waza are hip throws. You can see the full category of techniques classified by the IJF as koshi-waza here. I’ve selected these six techniques to keep things practical and manageable.

Which techniques?

  1. Uki-goshi

  2. O-goshi

  3. Tsuri-komi-goshi

  4. Tsuri-goshi

  5. Harai-goshi

  6. Hane-goshi

How to use the resources?

Study sheet

This is an A4, black and white page, with six throws illustrated. A visual reminder for your students to take home with them.

Koshi-waza Award Certificate

This is a high res, full colour, certificate that can be printed at A5 or A4. To award to judoka when they can do all six throws.

Want more resources around tachi-waza?
