If you are anything like my Sensei, the late, great Don Werner, then waiting for kids to tie their belts up (while you want to get on with the training) drives you mad. Am I right? Well, let’s speed that process up, and have a bit of fun with it along the way.
Use these cards, so your judoka have a visual of how to tie their obi correctly.
Make a game of it. Who can tie their obi in under 10 seconds? Who is the fastest in the whole class? Who can tie their obi with their eyes shut?
Award the certificates, after a fun night, with your beginners.
